Oct 18, 2012 at 8:00 AM Today we’ve released a new version of iLegislate. The past few years have proven that the iPad is a tranformative platform for government. Governing on the iPad has never been easier, nor more empowering, than it is today with our complete digital agenda solution for the iPad: iLegislate.
iLegislate is revolutionizing the traditional meeting agenda. It provides fingertip access to up-to-date public meeting materials and rich media, significantly decreasing the amount of work required to sift through large volumes of paper to prepare for a meeting.
Here are some of key features of iLegislate 1.4:
PDF attachment annotation capability
Highlight, underline, bookmark, capture notes
Rapid agenda review
Get a snapshot of each agenda item and suggested actions from a single interface
Connects and syncs with the Granicus cloud
Redundant backups and access to your agenda packet data online and off
Integrates with government solutions
Seamlessly connects agenda functionality with Granicus’ Transparency, Meeting Efficiency, and Legislative Management Suite products
Watch video of related meetings
Research across indexed and archived public meeting videos
Support for toggling between apps
If you leave the app, your work is not lost, simply resume in the exact place where you left off
While those are the things that are in the app, I think the most impressive thing is what’s not there: paper, binders, folders, pens, pencils, post-it notes, highlighters, shuffling, information delays, organizational efforts, manual distribution, copying, printing, and large brief bags.
iLegislate is the first iPad app designed exclusively to help government agencies reduce their dependency on printed agenda packets in their public meetings. And the numbers have been coming in, demonstrating the paper saving power: by reducing 75-100% of paper use for meetings, government agencies are seeing annual savings of $2,000 - $10,000.
Governments’ shift to a digital environment for their recordkeeping will be gradual, however, with apps like iLegislate, we hope to increase the speed of adoption and potentially save governments millions of dollars in material and printing costs over the lifetime of their solution.
