The 2012 Best of the Web awards, created by Government Technology and the Center for Digital Government, revealed an astounding fact: 80% of the cities, and 60% of the counties awarded, including the first place city winner, have implemented online open government solutions from Granicus. Inc. The winners were judged on innovation, usability and maximum functionality for users, as well as online government service delivery.
Granicus’ solutions provided to winners range from live and archived online meeting video to public open government searching tools. While these solutions are exceptional, it was the winners’ tech savvy and comprehensive implementation of various tools and services, along with creative problem-solving that won them their awards. Granicus’ role as the delivery method for government media and open data for such a significant majority of winners demonstrates its value as the higher standard for the local government market.
We are so proud and grateful to have been a part of these amazing cities’ and counties’ web strategies.
